Why do I need a Wedding Videographer?

Updated: Nov 12

Today is a good day and your day is about to get better with the information I'm about to tell you so please read on. By the way, my name is Lenon and this is my first blog post to help soon-to-be bride/groom.

I'm guessing that your big day is coming up and that's why you ended up here asking yourself, "why do I need a wedding videographer? what are the benefits I get for hiring a wedding videographer?" but keep reading I promise, this is very informational. Because right now, you are probably also looking for other vendors that can give you the dream wedding you've been wanting since you were young and right now you're wondering which vendors are a must and need to have right?

So, you're wondering if you need a videographer since you're already going to have a photographer for your wedding. Well I must say, from my personal experience and not just because I am a wedding videographer myself, I would say that you do. Before I tell you one my recent experience from one of my best friends.

Here are a few tips of mine when deciding on choosing the videographer for your big day.

  1. Invest in a professional videography company that will give you the best bang for your buck. (what I mean is, don't go too cheap just so you can save a few hundreds. Trust me it will be worth it in the long run. There are plenty of wedding videographers that are very budget friendly. On the other hand, Nvrless Films is budget friendly and you will receive high quality video and audio, we use multiple cameras and audio recorders no matter which package you choose from. We don't limit the equipment we use based on if you choose the lower cost package or not).

  2. Do your research! Watch different wedding videos from different wedding videographers and find out the style you're looking for. Each wedding is unique and they are created based on the story you provide us since we build around your day, it is your big day in the first place. Feel free to watch our wedding films, see if we're the perfect fit for you.

  3. How to choose the right wedding videography packages? You're probably wondering what do I mean by that, so let me explain. There are different types of wedding films we can provide for you so you can decide and set your priorities. You can view our wedding videography packages and come back here.

  • Highlight Film - This is what you were able to watch from our website or see the video below, which usually lasts between 6 to 8 minutes. If you think this is all you need from your wedding, then the "Highlight of your Life" package is good enough for you.

  • What are my options? Do you want an edited version of your ceremony? speeches from reception? or even the dances (first dance, parent dances, or any choreographed dances)? how about a Documentary Film? Okay okay, this is probably too much information that it became confusing, it confused me while writing this too. Let me explain, the full ceremony becomes a separate film by itself because not all wedding ceremony is the same, some chooses it to be an hour long and some is shorter. You might also do vows exchange that you want to watch later on in full, that's when this Full Ceremony Film comes in and this is the same for speeches or dances. Now, the documentary film is technically the compilation of the whole thing that we put together, the length of this is between 1 hour to 2.5 hours depending on your wedding.

I hope that this makes sense and if it doesn't, please schedule a video call with me so I can further explain myself and we can also get to know each other more. Okay, now let me convince you more into investing to a wedding videographer, oh by the way, this is the story I was telling you earlier, read below:

I haven't spoken to my bestfriend for a while because life became a bit busy and out of the blue, I texted him that I was moving to Northern California...... blah blah, you know the typical conversation and he brings up, "I'm getting married tomorrow!" so I'm talking to myself, "well he is my best friend so I must go no matter what, he's been there for me so I got to be there for him", sorry to my co-workers who are reading this but I called out sick from my day job at the time and filmed his wedding day, they didn't have a wedding photographer and I can take professional photos but I'm a videographer at heart so I asked him and his wife about what is more important for them to have and they said "We would rather have a videographer to film what's going to happen and we can watch it again in the future". Guess what I did? I show up and captured the important events and they were both happy that I did it for them.

In short, photographers can capture still moments and I'm not saying you shouldn't have one. My point is, having a videographer can capture all the laughs, the natural sound, and basically your wedding visually in motion and we are just as important as having a photographer or any other vendors for your big day.

Lastly, I know how much weddings can cost cost and they can be expensive, especially during these times, and you're looking for ways to save as much money as possible. Investing in a good and professional videography team can give you the best video and audio quality from your big day. The last thing you need is a bad audio of your beautiful vows from your ceremony or the speech your father/mother gave. You are going to have so much fun on your wedding day and a lot of things are happening, which in some cases you may forget what happened because it all goes by so so quick but that's when having a reliable wedding videography team that films your day comes in. You can watch your ceremony and listen to your vows or the last speech from your loved ones gave you and your partner, over and over again. As a wedding videography company, we take these events from your wedding very seriously and we make sure we have back ups on the back ups of the audio recorders and multiple cameras to capture different angles, to give us as much footage and good audio as possible, in case something happens.

I wish you nothing but the best and I hope you get the dream wedding you've been wanting to have since you were young. If you are looking for a wedding videographer in Napa Valley, Wine Country, or San Francisco, honestly, our team will go wherever.

Please share this to your friends and family, also don't hesitate to contact us or if you have any questions please schedule a meeting with me.
